When the clock strikes twelve —
“Ding dong”, goes the bell.
What does it entail?
Will a wish come true
or does it end like a dream,
bringing one back to reality?
I’ve made one too many wishes;
some upon the stars,
on dark, starry nights,
while some others,
blowing on the dandelion tufts,
with the rest, to the moon’s ear.
Tonight, as the clock strikes
midnight once more,
with the sound of the bell,
one more wish I made —
a dear one from my heart,
the one for you.
What will it entail?
Will this wish come true?
Or does it end like a dream,
bringing me back to reality?
One I wished deeply to find out,
that you would be mine —
when the clock strikes twelve.
To fall in love is a blessing.
Yet, there is discomfort in the midst of the yearning and the uncertainty.
Nonetheless, we remain hopeful and make wishes, feeling those butterflies flutter.
Pray tell, is it the same for you, too?
Ladies and Gentlemen, this is The Wild Muse.
